The Cat Doctor is excited to announce Dr. Susan Rodgers as our new associate. Dr. Rodgers earned a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology from UC Davis before completing her veterinary education at the University of Minnesota.. Prior to vet school, she worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at several practices in Ventura County. In addition to feline medicine, Dr. Susan has special interests in dentistry, urology, transfusion medicine and companion exotic animals. Recently, she was selected by the California Veterinary Medical Board to serve on the committee that prepares and scores the RVT licensing examination. An Oxnard native, she lives in her childhood home with her husband Nino and a menagerie of pets including four inscrutable cats: Hobbes (aka Mr. Big), Puffy, Callie and Baby Neko. Outside of work Dr. Susan enjoys vegetarian cooking, quilting and traveling. All the doctors (Dr. Darcie, Dr. Kendra and Dr. Lovelace) are pleased to have her join our team.
